Some pupils from St Anthony's Eco Club took part in the Big Spring Clean with the Lord Mayor. The children walked the paths to litter pick the hedges and footpaths.

Mrs Hamill's class did some litter picking along the Tullygally Rd. They collected 6 bags of rubbish in the area which has been cleared for planting

Energy Saving Week takes place in Northern Ireland from Monday 5 to Friday 9 November 2018.

Most of the energy we use is created by burning fossil fuels. This process creates carbon emissions which damage the environment. Reducing the amount of energy and water we use will limit the impact on the environment.

Small changes can make a difference.

Some of our Eco warriors saving energy by turning off devices, taps, lights when not being used and turning the heating down at home.













All Our Hard work was worth it!

Angela Gracey-Roger from the Energy Saving Trust (far right) came to the school to present us with our Energy Saving Champion Award.
She said "We are so pleased that St Anthony's Primary School embraced the schools challenge". By carrying out four simple changes at home the school managed to save over 2,000kg of carbon emissions in just one week!

Big Bird Watch - 26th to 28th January
St Anthony's eco team today made bird fat balls to attract birds to our school, and make sure they are well fed in the cold weather.





All our eco warriors working hard to keep those hungry birds happy.
